  • patience

i guess trying to make things back to the way they were initially is a long and trying process..just need to have patience and tolerance....and in the end, it'll pay off.

    "let it come naturally..."

who plays / still plays instant bingo? like seriously. haha

  • goals

someone once told me that a person who developed a list of 50 goals took 3 years to achieve all of them...

i compiled my own list a while ago after being inspired by this someone and likewise, she has compiled her own list..and we're hoping to accomplish all of them within the span of our lifetime...i guess it all comes down to what degree of complexity the goals carry.  i don't think mine are too unachieveable, but i don't think they're typical...just the right balance.

here's the list of my 50Gs, some of which i have already achieved so far (in bold):

  • time

can you define time? time is just one of those things you just can't really explain easily...similar to dreams... as kids, my brother and i used to write diaries..pretty corny i guess..and when i first started writing, i would write down all the things that happened in the day -- whether it was watching 'ghost writers' on TVO, what we ate for dinner at grandmas, etc. i would typically conclude the daily journal entry with a question...such as: "why do we eat dinner?" or "why do we dream?" i look back to all those times and i realize i can still ask myself some of those lame-sounding questions. so what is time and can we really define it? in the Bible ..in 2 Peter 3:8 it says,"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day."

many times we say time flies by really fast or passes by really slow...and it mostly depends on the circumstances in which you're in...if you end up accomplishing a lot, you'll feel like it's flown by..on the other hand, if you don't accomplish a lot, you feel like it's passed by slowly.

time brings about so many twists to life...it can show how people change, how friendships and relationships change, and how goals in life change (there's definitely way more to go around on). it even shows how i'm old, yet young...

it leaves me asking..what's time gonna show me in my life? ....and what about yours?

  • planning or winging?

i've always been the type of person who tries to plan things out...however, fairly often i find myself winging things and being spontaneous just to make things more thrilling....i find that planning just makes everything much more smoother -- less hassle, less negative consequences, etc. on the flipside, winging things just brings you into this new dimension where things could end up really fun....or possibly bad. it's the risk.

these days it feels like trying map out life always ends up in question marks...like is the plan really worth it or are you just wasting your time?
